I recently learnt of food that clogs my arteries just thinking about it.
It's called the Turducken.

Intrigued??

Wikipedia's definition of a Turducken is:
" a dish consisting of a partially de-boned turkey stuffed with a de-boned duck, which itself is stuffed with a small de-boned chicken. The chestal cavity of the chicken and the rest of the gaps are filled with, at the very least, a highly seasoned breadcrumb mixture or sausage meat, although some versions have a different stuffing for each bird"

Most popular around Thanksgiving time, most popular in the deep south of America.

Thanks, for the idea but no thanks!! This is just way too much meat for me to even think about.

What are your thoughts on the Turducken?

Hi Shellie
I have had this a couple of times (once my Dad made it and another time we bought one from a gourmet store and cooked it for christmas lunch) It is really nice!!! The meat of all birds was moist and tender and so tasty. I remember It took my Dad hours to bone out each bird, so don't think I'll be making this myself any time soon.

Goodness that is a lot of bird/meat! And imagine if you stuffed it with...even more meat..

You would Have To serve it with a gigantic bowl of vegies next to it wouldn't you?

I'd definitely be up for trying it if someone around me made it (highly unlikely) but I can't ever imagine cooking it myself though lol

Oh my, I've never seen anything like this before. And it sure is one huge stuffed bird. However did you all manage to finish it?

Ahhh I remember I saw a video of the Turducken factory and how they made it, a while back haha. Definitely something I want to try hee hee.

The sight of this ghastly creature is enough to make me want to turn vegetarian!!!
